"Spring fever" is a term referring to both psychological and physiological symptoms that show up in accordance with the arrival of Spring. The exact cause remains unclear, so for now it's as real as you make it! As for the myth: It was thought that balancing an egg on its end is possible on the spring equinox. The truth is, aiming to balance an oval-shaped object on its end (especially one that can easily crack!) is no easier on the spring equinox than it is on any other day of the year! As for snowflakes being unique, that was negated in 1988, when Nancy Knight, a scientist at the National Center for Atmosphere Research in Colorado, discovered two identical snowflakes that blew in during a Wisconsin storm.
